MMMH&MC Bags Gold Governance Trailblazer Award; Now PGS Compliant

After successfully meeting the elements of the Performance Governance System (PGS) Compliance Stage, the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC) is now PGS Compliant conferred by the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) during the recently held Dream Philippines Fair at the University of the Philippines, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila on November 27, 2018, a year after its Initiation Stage conferral. The hospital also bagged the Gold Trailblazer award for surpassing the requirements.
Dr. Maria Lourdes K. Otayza, the Medical Center Chief II presented the performance highlights and multi-year strategic deliverables of the MMMH&MC relative to its vision to become the premier center for advanced healthcare in Northern Philippines by 2022 over a panel of experts composed of governance leaders from different sectors namely, Atty. Alex Lacson, Trustee of Institute for Solidarity in Asia (panel chair), Dr. Juliet Balderas, Associate of Institute for Solidarity in Asia (panel vice-chair), Dr. Maria Francia Laxamana, Assistant Secretary, Field Implementation and Coordination (Luzon) of Department of Health, Mr. Rafael Solis, Executive Vice President of St. Luke’s Medical Center and Mr. Orlando Clavinez, Medical Field Operations Manager of Wyeth Philippines.
Top three accomplishments of the hospital in terms of human capital training, infrastructure and treatment through the development of clinical pathways were presented.
