“I was confident that we will win” said Mr Cabuntocan. He added that his colleagues cooperated well by donating their plants for display. Some groupmates even went their way to get free waterlilies from swamps nearby. "Collective efforts and ideas made us think that we have an edge over the other entries, even if our Christmas tree was the smallest in size” Mr Cabuntocan also said.

According to the judges, the Nursing Division Christmas Tree clearly represented the Cardiac Cathetierization Laboratory in their display of an electrocardiograph tracing with a heart-shaped image imbeded into it. That made the nursing team garnered a high score in one of the criteria for judging: being able to depict an innovation that MMMHMC had achieved.

The Medical Division placed second, followed by the Finance, Paramedical  and HOPSS divisions respectively. MMMHMC ICU nurse Eunik Cruz headed the committee on Christmas Tree Making contest tagged as Tree of Glee.
