The MMMH&MC Department of Pathology and Laboratories, in its pursuit to fulfill the Medical Technology/ Laboratory Science Internship Training Program has renewed its accreditation granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for having complied with the requirements of the comission for accreditation of Clinical Laboratory Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Internship Training covering a two-year period.
The department shares in the hospital’s vision: “To provide excellent healthcare service, training and ethical research responsive to the needs of all stakeholders significantly contributing to the Philippine Health Agenda.” The laboratory mentors demonstrate this by ensuring a program that MLS Interns gain skills, attitudes, values and capabilities needed to become future laboratory professionals. The department remained steadfast in supporting the commitments of the agency to provide MLS interns with comprehensive outcome-based education.

With the able leadership of the Department Head, Dr. Modesty A. Leaño and supervision of Mr. Diego L. Ofiaza, Chief Medical Technologist, the implementation by the Training Officer for Medical Technology/Laboratory Science, Ms. Lovly Cordero, assisted by the Committee Chairs, Mr. Wesly Digap, Mr. Dennison Catindig, Ms. Janice Romero, Mr. Dennis Paul Marcelo and all laboratory staff, the training program is carried out aligned with the requirements and standards of the CHED circular.
Currently, MMMH&MC is affiliated with the several schools of Medical Technology/Laboratory  Science namely, Cagayan State University, Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines, Northwestern University, University of Baguio, University of Northern Philippines, University of Pangasinan and Saint Louis University.
