NATIONAL BREASTFEEDING MONTH

August is National Breastfeeding Month — a month dedicated to advancing advocacy, protection, and promotion of breastfeeding to ensure that all families have the opportunity to breastfeed. (NICHQ) The 2022 theme for World Breastfeeding Week, ‘Step up for Breastfeeding: Educate and Support', seeks to involve governments, communities, and individuals. (WHO)
The Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Mother Baby Friendly Hospital Initiatives Committee, Department of Pediatrics, and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology celebrate National Breastfeeding Month this August 22, 2022 with the theme, “Sama-samang Itaguyod Tamang Kaalaman Kalinga sa Pagpapasuso.”

Together, hand in hand, we must take our part to promote breastfeeding among nursing, pregnant and future mothers as well as their families to ensure quality newborn health.

BLESSING OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT (STP) BUILDING AND THE NEW DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEM

In celebration of the National Hospital Week, Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center conducts the blessing of its Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Building and the new Digital Radiography System today, 18 August 2022, at the MMMH-MC, Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
DOH-Ilocos Center for Health Development Assistant Regional Director Helen D. Tobias graced the event. Dir. Tobias said that the hospital and medical center shall continue to serve the people of Ilocos Norte with quality and accessible healthcare services. She also commended the hospital’s ingenuities in integrating new technologies to their healthcare system.
The blessing is part of the week-long activity led by MMMH &MC Medical Center Chief Dr. Maria Lourdes K. Otayza.

MMMH&MC AND PGIN KICKS OFF 2022 NATIONAL HOSPITAL WEEK CELEBRATION

The launching of this year’s National Hospital Week which was spearheaded by the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC) transpired this Monday, August 15, 2022.
The celebration commenced with the flag raising ceremony held at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Capitol and this was participated by the various healthcare workers from private and government hospitals together with the Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province.
Present in the ceremony were Gov. Matthew J. Marcos Manotoc, Vice-Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members-Hon. Jonathan Torralba and Hon. Medeldorf Gaoat, and Hon. Maria Prila Saymo, SK Federated President of Ilocos Norte.

1st PROVINCIAL UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SUMMIT ‘22

The first Provincial Universal Health Care (UHC) Summit in Ilocos Norte was conducted last Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Laoag City Centennial Arena with the theme “Hawak kamay tungo sa Tagumpay, UHC ating Iwagayway”.
The Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC) and other organizations from the central and regional offices of the Department of Health (DOH), private health sectors and local government units have participated in the said event as the theme points out a collaborative effort among various agencies for the implementation of the Universal Health Care (UHC).

KOMPLETUHIN NA ANG PROTEKSYON LABAN SA COVID-19 PARA MAS PROTEKTADO KA AT ANG IYONG PAMILYA!

Nakipagtulungan ang Pinas Lakas Team ng MMMH&MC sa dalawang bayan sa Ilocos Norte upang paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa COVID19. Nagpunta ang Vaccination Team ng ospital sa bayan ng Carasi noong Agosto 8 at sa bayan ng Nueva Era naman noong Agosto 11.
Nagsagawa din ng Livelihood Seminar ang ospital sa mga nasabing bayan na dinaluhan ng mga Barangay Health Workers.
