Participants from MMMH&MC are, Mr. John Francis Paraoan (Nurse III), Mr. Catalino Corpuz Pe Benito III (Nurse II) and Mr. Richard Irvin Bismonte (Nurse III). Mr. Paraoan and Mr. Pe Benito III bagged the 3rd place in their research paper titled “Resident’s Environment Safety for Fall Prevention in a Long-Term Facility” in their Oral Presentation under Professional Category. Their research was developed during their 3-month Training Program on Geriatric and Gerontology Nursing last 2017 in the Department of Health (DOH) Academy. Paraoan topped the Nurse Certification Program and was awarded Class Valedictorian and Best in Clinical for Batch II. In addition, Paraoan and Pe Benito were conferred as the most promising researchers. Mr. Bismonte was also awarded 3rd place in the research poster presentation entitled “Enhancing the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Capability of non-health personnel”.
The theme for this year was “Research Outputs as Inputs towards Evidence-Based Practice for Quality of Life” with the following objectives: 1) to develop and strengthen health research network thru health research conference; 2) to encourage researchers to conduct quality research with the highest ethical standard that contribute to the improvement of quality of life; and 3) to equip the participants with knowledge, skills and values for effective and efficient adoption and utilization of health research.
This research conference was convened by researchers, clinicians, educators, and students to share knowledge and experiences in the field of health research. – J.F.PARAOAN
