Medical Mission

Dr. Maria Lourdes K. Otayza, Medical Center Chief II, upheld that the Hospital aims to extend its services and programs at the grassroots. “It will remain our priority to continue to mount more relevant activities to give back to the community and ensure that the Hospital has a lasting, positive impact on the society and to provide health services to those who need it most,” she said.
Ms. Marieta Currimao of Municipality of Burgos, expressed her gratitude to the Hospital, noting, “the mass on my back continued to be my source of fear in the past years but through the medical mission, I was able to conveniently reach for help and have my illness treated.”

In the past years, the Hospital actively conducted medical missions in far-flung areas such as Bangui in 2017 wherein almost 500 patients were served. The Hospital also sent a team to assist and participate in the DOH Surgical Caravan in Gov. Roque B. Ablan Sr. Memorial Hospital, Ilocos Sur Provincial Hospital-Gabriela Silang, Abra Provincial Hospital and D.O Plaza Memorial Hospital in Patin-ay, Agusan del Sur serving hundreds of surgical beneficiaries.
As the Hospital gears up for the Proficiency Stage of the Performance Governance System, it aims to conduct an extensive outreach program to bring even closer the services of the Hospital to the public and strengthen its service delivery network (SDN). – (Jhey-Ar O. Mangati, HEPO)
