Dean Agustina Dancel-Matias, Dean of the Student Affairs of Northwestern University; Dr. Prima Fe Franco, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Violeta B. Alonzo, Associate Professor, both from the Mariano Marcos State University, were invited as the Judges of this thrilling competition.

This year’s contenders are the following: Department of Ophthalmology, Newborn Screening Center - Northern Luzon, Budget Section, Nursing Division - Special Areas, Department of Pediatrics, Nutrition and Dietetic Services, Nursing Divisions - ICU/Clinical Ward, Cash Operations Section, and Department of Radiology. Each team was given seven (7) minutes to discuss their studies through a video presentation, and another 12 minutes was allotted for the questions and answer portions after each presentation.
After the inspiriting presentations of the CQI Studies, Dr. Maria Lourdes K. Otayza, the Medical Center Chief, delivered her message of furtherance to all the participants and viewers as she quoted,“If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.” She even told a story how she started here at MMMHMC, and how she saw the improvement of the hospital through the collective efforts of staff and the management.
All the participants showcased strategies pertaining to the institutional resiliency of MMMHMC. At the end of the contest, the Newborn Screening Center - Northern Luzon emerged as the Third placer, Budget Section in the Second Place, and the Nursing Division - Special Areas as the Champions.
